Hotel Operations

Know which rooms are ready, what is holding them, and who owns the next step.

When a room is held and nobody owns the fix, a guest waits in the lobby. HTMS™ gives housekeeping, engineering and the front desk one room board and work list: each job assigned, followed through the shift and checked before the room is released.

Early access: built and working, and still being validated at live hotels. Room status is kept in HTMS™, or read from a connected Oracle OPERA Cloud or Mews PMS; both connections are built and not yet validated at live hotels.

$2.50per room/month

Roomline Today: rooms ready, room holds, open work orders, arrivals at risk and scheduled maintenance due, then a Priorities list of late, held and not-ready rooms with the next step for each.

What changes for the hotel

The room board by floor
  • Arrivals at risk, seen early

The room board shows ready, held and inspected rooms next to the arrivals that do not have a ready room yet.

  • Credits, assignments and inspection scores are different things

Workload credits measure how much work a room takes. Assignments give each attendant a fair share of credits. Inspection scores measure the result against your own standards.

  • Work closes only when checked

A work order has an owner, a due time and a verification step, and each piece of equipment keeps its repair history.

One room, from held to released

One example: room 412 cannot be released before an arrival.

  1. Held

Housekeeping marks room 412 as held: the air conditioning is not cooling.

  2. Assigned

Engineering receives a work order with the room, the fault, a priority and a due time.

  3. Repaired

The engineer records the repair. The work order needs a check before it closes.

  4. Inspected

The room gets the inspection it needs before it can be released.

  5. Released

The front desk sees the room as ready on the room board.

  6. Recorded

The shift handover keeps what happened: the hold, the repair and the inspection.

HTMS™ reads from the PMS and does not write reservations or guest data back to it.
